Professional Background
Having tutored professionally since 1987, and with 9 years of university education (most recently in Molecular Biophysics at the University of Toronto 2006-2011), Jessica Mitchell has dedicated herself to developing signature techniques for accelerated learning in a wide variety of academic subjects, including: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and the Social Sciences, from elementary school levels to first and second year university.

Each lesson is custom-designed for the particular student, with thought given to the student's interests, personality, existing knowledge base and way of thinking. By delivering information in this manner, Jessica is able to maximize the child's retention of new information while also training them to expand their capacity to think and communicate their thoughts in a variety of strategic ways. When given the opportunity to work with students for long periods of time, she regularly turns uninspired, unmotivated, low-performing students into high-performing, self-motivated young men and women who are excited about their field of study and have highly developed educational and career goals. She also works with high-performing students to enhance their skills and help them push through to elite levels.
Positive Learning Enviroment
Her sessions take place in a comfortable setting and the mood is very encouraging and fun. There is usually a lot of laughter that goes on in her classroom and students often come back to visit after they have graduated and moved on — many come home from university to study with her for exams!
